There are so many great pubs to choose from in Cambridge. They are all in the city centre as I am advised there are no real ale pubs near the ground. I have selected some pubs near the rail station and close to the bus route. The Cambridge Tap, sister bar to the Euston and Sheffield taps is due to open at the station in early 2012. As well as the pubs listed below, I recommend a visit to the following. Free Press, The Maypole, The Mitre, St. Radegund and The Castle. Steve Bradbury

The Devonshire is owned and operated by the locally based Milton Brewery. Seven handpumps feature beers from Milton and other micro-breweries. There is plenty of seating indoors and out. Friendly staff serving well-kept beer make the Devonshire a must visit in Cambridge

Despite the name, this pub is a traditional style local community pub. Over 500 different beers are served here each year which is testament to its popularity. The variety and quality of the beers is excellent. Belgian beers also feature in bottles and on tap. The pub also specialises in rum and has over 100 different ones to sample. My favourite pub of the trip.
SB
Yet another great pub in Cambridge. Up to 10 real al ales are served alongside several ciders and perries. These are complemented by a large selection of bottled beers from around the world. There are two small rooms at the front of the pub leading to a larger back room and the beer garden.

Ten handpumps serve up a varied range of well kept ales. There are also ciders and perries available. Friendly and helpful staff made our visit a very pleasant experience. The foo0d has won regional awards and after sampling some, its not difficult to see why. Beer festivals are held monthly.
SB
Back street pub with a mixed clientele. Ten real ales are available along with a cider. There is an extensive selection of Belgian bottled beer which seemed very popular. The owners were friendly, even recommending pubs that weren't on our list. This is the type of pub I could quite easily stay at instead of going to the match (wish I had).
