To the left are pages for each club. They are taken from the last edition of the Football and Real Ale Guides. Please remember that the guide was written in 2006 and we would like you to let us know if they are so out of date to be not worthy of entry. |
| On each page are my personal recommendations under the following headings:- |
ONE PUB ONLY? This is my choice of favourite pub. It is the one I have usually chosen to use when I visit, the must not miss pub. |
CRAWLING FROM RAILWAY STATION TO THE GROUND? Most of my research was done by train so from experience I offer a two to three hour crawl, usually involvong three pubs that are close together and often involving a taxi ride or public transport on to the ground. |
SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT? The difference could be architectural, or of interest to a beer enthusiast ( i.e brewery tap). Usually it has the best real ale selection or something that sets it apart from the rest. I sometimes recommend a trip to a nearby town because, quite frankly, the pubs offer nothing remarkeably different to the norm. |
